OPEN BURNING

Open burning can cause airborne particles that aggravate the symptoms of respiratory disease patients. Prior to any open burning you must call the Marine City Fire Department.

Fires must be 50 feet away from any building and attended by an adult. You must have a proper method to extinguish the fire. If the fire department gets called, you could be billed $200.00 for the fire run.

We meet at the Township Hall the first and third Thursday of each month. We would like to add an occasional evening meeting for those who are not available during the day.

The township has a historical tape (45 mins.) of Hubert Smith that can be checked out for review.

THE TOWNSHIP PARK IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The park now features horseshoes, volley ball, and basketball courts. The Parks and Recreation Committee are currently working on the walking path and a baseball diamond.

Many people have donated funds for purchases of park equipment. Plaques have been put up indicating who the donors are.

Anyone interested in reserving the park can do so by calling the township hall at 810-765-4730. The park is great for birthday parties, reunions, ect.
