AGENDA CHANGES

Correction to agenda- Ms. Knight is not a member of the St. Clair Township Planning Commission

Add boat wells to new business

Add mother-in-law apartment/two homes to Future Agenda items

CORRESPONDENCE

a. Letter from Dorothea Knight re: Puppy mills. Reviewed; no action.

OLD BUSINESS

a. ZBA report on appeals received. 5 cases reviewed. Nothing repetitious which needs consideration in ordinance reviews. 

b. Compilation of ordinance updates. Drafts of zoning ordinance update amendments provided by Mr. Smith to members.

Additional reviews:

-Dumpster enclosures

      -Review of updated amendments

      -Additional airport zoning language is required; review of proposed  

       language as provided by Mr. Smith

       Building Inspector needs to be aware of this new requirement

       Still to be reviewed: Special land use, general provisions, general 

       exceptions

c. Boat wells ordinance review; revisit next month

NEW BUSINESS
  1. Schedule public hearing for updated ordinances- to be set at next meeting, following final reviews. Question: Should we schedule more than one public hearing? To be decided next month.
  2. Review of Engineering Standards proposals. Received from:
  • Huron Consultants, Port Huron
  • Giffels-Webster Engineers, Rochester Hills, Wash. Twp, Detroit
  • BMJ Engineers & Surveyors, Port Huron
  • Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Shelby Twp.

Members to review proposals for next meeting.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS

a. Mother-in-law apartments/two homes on one parcel

b. Report from Building Inspector on signs at airport & Orchard Market

c. Covered boat wells

d. Engineering Standards proposal review

e. Mr. Smith to locate language in our ordinance identifying which side of house is “front” when the home sits on the river
