Meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance by Chairperson Mary Agnes Simons at 7:30 p.m.

Motion by Jenuwine to accept minutes of 27 June 2007 as presented. Supported by George Kunnath. All in favor.
Motion Carried.
AGENDA APPROVAL: No additional agenda items.
COMMUNICATIONS:
St. Clair County Metropolitan Planning Commission Fall Workshop will be held October 30, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Planning to attend, please put on your calendar.
OLD BUSINESS:
Engineering Standards Ordinance request for quotation from engineering firms. Cover letter and a 2-page bid form emailed out to the Planning Commission members. If any changes, please let Chair know. Discussion followed. Substitute the word “proposal” for bid/quotation to the letter. Cover letter #3 covers graphic written standards, make sure we have actual drawings along with descriptions. Item #3 only is referring three (3) items: water mains, sanitary sewers and storm drains, like to see it stating “all previous noted sections on page 1 of the cover sheet will be included in the graphic detail sheets that should be included on Item #3.”
Motion by Pelc to approve the two changes as follows to the cover letter and proposal form for Engineering Standards Ordinance request: substituting the word “proposal” for bid/quotation and all previously noted sections on page 1 on the cover sheet will be included in the graphic detail sheets that should be included in Item #3. Supported by Drake. Vote on the motion: Ayes: All. Nays: None. Absent: Phelan, Boskee, Hayes. MOTION CARRIED.
Chairperson Simons reviewed the procedure acceptance of the proposal by Township Board.

Motion by Kunnath to recommend approval of the updated
amendments to the Zoning Ordinance to the St. Clair County Metropolitan
Planning Commission and a footnote added: the Airport Hazard Zoning section is
referenced from an official document by the Michigan Aeronautics
Commission. Supported by Jenuwine. Vote on the motion: Ayes:
All. Nays: None.
Absent: Phelan, Boskee,
Hayes. MOTION CARRIED.
Chris Marko, 6449 Shea Road: Very nice job. Where can he go and get a copy of all of the ordinances for the township? Short discussion followed.
