Supervisor William Zweng called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Also present: Assessor Barbara Schutt, Township Legal Advisor John McNamee.

APPROVAL OF CHECKS WRITTEN:
Motion by Treasurer Betty Zweng to accept the checks written from 03/01/2007 to 03/31/2007 for a total of $1,199,434.25. Payroll checks in the amount of $15,207.00 and General Checks $146,447.02. Supported by Trustee Jenuwine.

OLD BUSINESS:
1. BLIGHT REPORT – Attorney John McNamee advised the Board the proper procedure in notifying property owners of junk vehicles, blight, etc.:
· 1st regular mail;
· Write certified letter
· Put through lawyer final letter
Board in agreement needs to enforce the Ordinance and advice those property owners.
Motion by Treasurer Betty Zweng to go forward and direct Building Official and Code Enforcer to write the first letter to property owners advising of the Township Ordinance and the necessity to remove the junk car, blight, garbage on their property and if he needs help to go through Attorney John McNamee for the legal guidance. Supported by Trustee Terhune. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Absent: None.

2. CORRECT ORDER - CHROME WIRE ROLL FILE FOR MAPS:
Motion by Treasurer Betty Zweng to correct the previous
order of chrome wire roll file for storing maps, wrong size was ordered, new
order will be four (4) No. SAF-3090 at $72.09 each for a cost of $288.36. Supported by Clerk Pfaff. Ayes:

1. REQUEST TO WAIVE
WATER PENALTY FOR
Motion by Treasurer Betty Zweng to waive the water penalty

2. SET RATE OF PAY FOR TREASURER’S OFFICE:
Motion by Treasurer Betty Zweng to approve the rate of pay
for the replacement employee in the Treasurer’s Office at $9.75 per hour as
long as they are in training. Supported

3. RESOLUTIONS FOR THE CERTIFICATES OF PETITIONS FOR THE WATER:
Assessor Barbara Schutt submitted letter to the Board certifying the petitions.
The Supervisor reported that petitions had been filed with the Township Clerk for acquisition, construction and equipping of a water supply system as described:
Attorney John McNamee advised the Board would need to adopt the resolutions indicating receipt of the Petitions and direct the Township Engineer to draw up the plans and the preliminary estimate cost.
Motion by Trustee E. Sue Terhune to adopt the resolution the Assessor and Clerk have reported the signatures on the petitions have been checked, the record owners of land within the Township contained within the District described above and had prepared and filed a report setting forth the percentage of record owners of lands by area within the district, who signed the petitions which amounted to not less than 55.4451 percent and that the petitions be received by the Township Board and the report pertaining thereto be filed as part of the minutes of the meeting.
